Blockthreads was founded in 2014 by two heads of e-commerce, Tim Katz and George Mikhail. Both recently became young parents, but were surprised to find the lack of appealing options to dress their kids in. With experience working with retailers such as PacSun and Tilly's, Tim and George wanted their kids to share their love of streetwear and have the opportunity to use their clothes as an artistic expression.

Rather than stick with the boring options given to them by department stores, they set out to build a shop of their own, which pulled together the best of what unique brands had to offer as well as collaborate and create exclusive merchandise. Enter Blockthreads; rooted in action sports and street lifestyle, music, art and fashion, we aim to dress today's coolest kid.
